Founded in 2011, Bellingham Bay Outrigger Paddlers (BBOP) has become a vital part of our local communities, encouraging people to get out on the water. BBOP features a co-ed competitive racing team, a co-ed recreational group and a youth program, all focused on enjoying the stunning scenery of Pacific Northwest. Outrigger canoes are launched from the picturesque Fairhaven waterfront at the Community Boating Center (CBC). As a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, all donations to BBOP are fully tax deductible. We operate through volunteers and our members. BBOP is affiliated with the Pacific Northwest Outrigger Racing Association (PNWORCA). Membership at BBOP is open to everyone, regardless of race, color, sex, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, or gender identity and/or expression.
