In Hawaiian, laulima means "many hands working together." At BBOP, it's more than a beautiful word, it's a fundamental value, deeply rooted in Hawaiian culture and at the very core of who we are as a club.

Laulima is about cooperation. Teamwork. Showing up for each other. Think about lifting the canoe, the more hands that reach out, the lighter it becomes. No one person carries the weight alone. That's the power of laulima in action.

Every time we climb into the wa'a (canoe), we move as one. Six paddlers, one stroke, one purpose. But that same spirit lives on the shore too, in the hands that set up, break down, organize, fundraise, coach, and show up when it matters most.

The canoe doesn't paddle itself. And neither does the club.

Together we are stronger. So, we ask you: What will you bring to the club? Not just on the water but here, in the community we build together every single day.

Race Coordinator & Committee Members needed August 1st | Lummi Nation | with Autumn Rose Canoe Club-This is more than a race. Hosted on Lummi Nation land with Autumn Rose Canoe Club, 50% of proceeds support youth crews heading to World Sprints in Singapore. Help us make it unforgettable. We need a Race Coordinator and committee members who are ready to give back in a big way. No experience necessary, just your time and your heart. This is our clubs largest fundraiser!
Fundraising Coordinator Needed-Got ideas? Got drive? Put your talents to work for the club you love. We're looking for a Fundraising Coordinator to help fuel BBOP's mission and keep our community strong. Whether you have fundraising experience or just a whole lot of heart we want to need you.
Media/Website-Help is needed with flyers and help to upkeep website and website design.
Swag Coordinator-Help collect orders for uniforms and pass it out, keep track of funds and place orders.
Jan 2027 BBOP will need a President, Treasurer, Communications Director, Teamsnap Guru.
